SUMMARY
The Production planner is responsible for coordination of production workflow for one or multiple products, ensuring maximization of machine capacity and resource planning.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
General Description
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies to optimize efficiency, forecast demand, and plan inventory levels to meet customer needs.
- Ensures a high level of delivery reliability for distribution centers while safeguarding company output and inventory targets.
- Aims to synchronize production requirement, space, and delivery commitment with demand.
- Routinely assess the plant sites and distribution centers space and inventory capacity to plan inventory levels
- Gathers data from internal teams to incorporate materials, stock levels, resource availability, and delivery commitments into schedules.
- Monitors daily production results and revises supply/demand responsive to changes in the flow of materials, designs, equipment, or other resources.
- Utilizes ERP systems, planning and scheduling software, or other database tools to develop and maintain master schedules and generate reporting.
Relationship Management
- Work collaboratively with other departments to improve efficiency and maximize performance.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with peers and leverage talent across the organization.
- Lead periodic all-hands meetings to share direction/updates. Establish cadence for other departmental, project, subject-specific meetings as necessary.

Qualifications and Experience
- A relevant business degree
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing environment
- Understanding of ERP systems, including bill of materials, work order management, and inventory control.
- Strong computer skills
- Proven track record of improving overall efficiencies, reducing cost, and leading teams to effect positive change within the organization.
- Knowledge of lean techniques may be advantageous.
- Microsoft Office experience (Outlook-Word-Excel).
