Position: National Sales Manager - Plumbing Market
Position Vision
The National Sales Manager will be responsible for driving market penetration and revenue growth in the USA & Canada for Ideal Tridon’s Plumbing market. Through direct sales, program development, and collaboration with customer-specific sales agencies, this role will lead initiatives to capture new business opportunities. The incumbent will identify new market channels, contribute to future product development, and ensure ongoing communication of sales data to management. Extensive customer interaction and frequent travel (2-3 nights per week on average) are required.
Key Deliverables
Maintain and grow the current customer base.
Exceed annual sales and margin goals for targeted accounts and assigned markets.
Secure new business opportunities annually, aligning with corporate capabilities and profit objectives.
Expected Activities
Build and maintain strong relationships with key personnel at existing and prospective major target customers.
Manage customer-specific sales agencies as needed.
Negotiate pricing and long-term contracts to optimize sustainable gross margin levels.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive customer contact list for assigned markets.
Provide factual sales and expense data to support corporate financial planning.
Maintain a detailed and continuously updated "Market Report" for major customers and prospects.
Review engineering specifications to ensure Ideal Tridon is listed as an approved manufacturer for large commercial plumbing projects.
Conduct in-person and virtual product presentations to engineering firms to secure product specification approvals.
Track engineering specifications, review success, and identify strategic growth opportunities.
Engage with contractors to showcase product advantages and foster brand preference.
Provide product training for representatives, wholesalers, and contractors.
Follow up on high-volume quotes and trade show leads to determine business potential.
Participate in bi-annual ASTM meetings and stay informed on plumbing code and certification updates.
Principal Activities
Represent Ideal Tridon as a leading authority in the clamping products industry.
Deliver compelling product presentations to win new accounts.
Manage multiple programs while working closely with internal sales and support teams.
Provide technical and sales support to customers and internal personnel.
Work within a budget and report progress to management.
Provide guidance for RFQ responses, contracts, schedules, and quality alerts.

Required Qualifications

Experience managing manufacturer representatives and industrial distribution accounts.
Strong presentation and communication skills (interpersonal, written, and verbal).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Must live near a major metropolitan airport and be willing to travel extensively.
Physical Requirements
Ability to use computer equipment and remain seated or standing for extended periods.
Occasional lifting of light to moderate-weight objects (up to 30 pounds).
Regular attendance and occasional overtime, sometimes without prior notice.
Travel required to trade shows and customer locations.
