POSITION SUMMARY
Work in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing setting that may include dust and debris and can be loud at times. As a shipping clerk your duties would include preparing shipping documentation and processing orders. Coordinating the preparation and organization of bills of lading, packing slips, invoices, and required export licenses or compliance documents. Utilizes enterprise resource planning (ERP) or other systems to record and track all shipping transactions. Troubleshoot shipping delays or changes with carriers and communicates to customers. Ensures shipping protocols and documentation meet required regulatory requirements for hazardous materials (DOT/HAZMAT) or special handling. Investigates and resolves shipping non-conformance. Be able to operate forklift, read and understand written directions. And be able to provide report data to the management team. Must follow all applicable safety procedures to avoid injuries including but not limited to request for help from co-workers. Proper handling of finished parts and products to avoid injuries or damage, follow all operational instructions when operating or using tools and equipment. Provide quality checks as determined. Job may require overtime and a flexible schedule, reporting early and working late including weekends from time to time.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOP’s)
- Record and track all shipping transactions utilizing a scan gun.
- Able to safely operate a forklift and heavy equipment in tight places.
- Follow bill of lading, packing slips and invoices.
- Utilize a computer to be able to properly set up, track and prepare shipments.
- Able to work closely with team lead and supervisor on planning the workload for the entire shift.
- Follow safety protocol.
- Read and comprehend schedule and BOM.
- Inspect manufactured goods for defects, quality, proper material and correct size and specifications.
- Housekeeping while in between quality checks.
- Production reporting.
- May perform other related duties as assigned.

- Excellent verbal communication skills with strong aptitude for operating machinery.
- Ability to follow instructions and learn the production process.

- Ability to perform repetitive tasks.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Hi-Lo Certification preferred, will be trained, and certified on the hi-lo.
- (1) year of experience in tool and die in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Must be able to clear drug screen and background check.
- Must have reliable transportation.
WORKING HOURS:
First Shift 6:00am to 3:30pm Monday - Friday - OT as needed.
Second Shift 3:30 pm to 12:00am Monday - Friday - OT as needed.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation as you will frequently and repetitively be required to bend, twist, kneel, crouch, and reach to perform work, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk and hear. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk and/or sit and reach with hands and arms. May occasionally climb stairs, drive vehicles, and operate equipment. Lift or carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs. Must wear required hearing and/or eye protection.
