The Company:
Ideations is a multi-disciplinary design / build firm. For over 25 years we have prided ourselves in creating high-end displays and solutions out of wood, metal and plastic for the hospitality, corporate, retail, and home building industries.
The Opportunity:
Ideations isn’t your typical cookie-cutter millwork shop. If you are looking for variety in your workday we could be your answer. A candidate’s responsibilities could range wildly from day to day or week to week. You may be building traditional cabinets one day, then cutting apart a Sprinter Van to create a custom conference room the next. We’ve been asked to design and build everything from traditional retail stores and point-of-sales, to converting horse trailers into mobile sales experiences. At other times, you may be asked to go out to job sites and install the finished pieces you’ve been fabricating. If you like to do a variety of different things and take on a variety of unpredictable challenges, this could be a good fit for you.
What you will be doing:
- Fabricate and install a variety of custom and traditional solutions out of wood, metal and plastics.
- Collaborate on projects with other team members.
- Solve problems and think outside of the box.
- Work with a variety of materials, tools and fabrication equipment.
- Read / interpret shop, engineering and architectural drawings.
- Work with and collaborate with clients and other trades on a job site.

Basic Requirements:
- Read, write and speak English
- Lift 70 pounds, climb ladders and work in various environments
- Operate hand tools, power tools and fabrication equipment safely.
- Work safely and be mindful of others in the work environment.
- Own or invest in your tools.
- Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
- Must have a quality mindset and an eye for detail.
- Work well with others including Clients, Trades and Contractors.
- Add value to every situation.
Bonus Points:
- Previous 5 years experience.
- Vocational / Trade degree.
- Basic electrical / wiring knowledge.
- Painting / finishing work when in a pinch.
- Willingness to operate company provided iPads for referencing shop drawings, scheduling, in-house communication and view 3d models while on a job-site.
- Interest in Design and Engineering.
Hours:
- Full Time salary position.
- 40 hours/week (in person).
- Evenings and Saturdays may be required on occasion.
- Travel may be required for out-of-town / out-of-state installs.
