Responsibilities
- Ownership of accounting and reporting for accounts receivable and revenue, including related journal entries and monthly related reconciliations.
- Ownership of other areas of accounting, such as intercompany and AP accruals including related journal entries and monthly related reconciliations.
- Aid in the completion of monthly internal reporting to senior management by analyzing and providing explanations for selected material variances.
- Assist in audit preparation and documentation requests.
- Ability to build analytical schedules from scratch based on relevant information.
- Ad hoc analysis and reporting required by the business.
Required Skills:
- BS in Accounting or Finance; a CPA is a plus; MBA a plus.
- Advanced knowledge of journal entries and financial statements
- Experience with monthly close process required
- Deep understanding of revenue recognition principles and experience applying them to various types of transactions and contracts.
- Solid understanding of US GAAP and IFRS 15/16
- Strong systems knowledge that includes advanced Excel skills and working knowledge of financial systems and reporting tools
- Experience with a mid to large ERP system, Great Plains, TM1, and SAP Business Objects preferred
- Experience with financial reporting to parent company preferred
- Excellent analytical, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S
- 5 years of progressive experience working in accounting/finance
- Public accounting experience a plus
