Overview
We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a willingness to learn metalworking and fabrication processes, and the ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively. This role involves working with various tools and machinery to fabricate metal components according to specifications, ensuring high-quality standards and safety practices are maintained. Tools include but are not limited to: welder, press brake, shear, chop saw, hand tools, etc.
Holiday pay after 90 days.
Vacation pay after one year.
Shift:
Monday - Thursday 7 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. and Friday 7 a.m. - 11 a.m.
Responsibilities
- Operate welding equipment, including stick welding and other techniques, to join metal parts together.
- Utilize shear for cutting of metal sheets and components.
- Assemble fabricated parts and components into finished products.
- Set up and operate press brake machines for bending and shaping metal materials.
- Interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications and requirements.
- Fabricate metal structures by following detailed plans while ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in metal fabrication or a related field is preferred.
- Strong ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately.
- Experience operating press brake machines is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the capability to troubleshoot fabrication issues as they arise.
