Position Summary:
Identity Group – Brunswick Campus is a fast paced, ever changing environment delivering exciting sign and visual decor projects to major retailers and grocery clients nationwide. The Wide Format Digital Press Operator is a key part of this service.
The Wide Format Digital Printer operates a Canon Colorado 1650 roll to roll and Onset X1 flatbed digital printer. These printers are on the high end of print technology with capabilities to print up to 60" by 120". Wide format printing is the fastest growing sector of the printing industry, with demand increasing daily. Extended hours and weekend work can occur.
Essential Functions:
· Perform daily maintenance on printers.
· Read and interpret work orders and technical drawings.
· Perform quality inspections of work to ensure product meets or exceeds company and customer standards.
· Communicate with Management regularly and at the end shift via company email.
· Place calls to Maintenance Service Provider in the event of a maintenance issue and assist trouble shooting the issue.
· Perform work in accordance with company and national safety standards.
· Conduct inventory counts of raw material and finished goods.
· Clean and organize work area daily.
- Demonstrates regular and consistent daily attendance at the Brunswick Campus.
- Maintains confidentiality of Company information.
- Complies with all Identity Group policies and procedures.
- Performs other job functions as assigned by Manager or designee.
Requirements:
- Must be experienced in the operation of digital printers.
- Demonstrate the ability to develop knowledge of commonly used materials and substrates.
- Must be able to read and understand process instructions and work orders.
Physical Requirements:
- Regularly must be able to sit, talk, see, hear and occasionally walk.
- Stand for long periods of time and may safely lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, reach and handle and frequent use of fingers for keying.
- Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) for extended periods of time.
Education and Experience:
· High School Diploma or GED required.
· Basic computer skills and strong math skills required.
- Printing experience or experience using Adobe Creative Suite software are a plus but not required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
