Job Summary :
The Press Brake Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining machinery to ensure the production of high-quality components. This role involves using a press brake to bend, shape, cut, and manipulate sheet metal and metal plates based on specifications and drawings. The operator ensures smooth machinery operation, maintains equipment, and meets production goals with attention to precision and safety.
Essential Functions :
- Operate press brake machinery to manufacture components from sheet metal and metal plates.
- Prepare, set up, and adjust press brake equipment in line with product specifications and schedules.
- Verify the availability of raw materials and communicate any issues to the supervisor.
- Measure and align materials accurately for processing.
- Operate additional machinery such as forming rolls and grinders as needed.
- Produce components that meet quality, functional, and cosmetic specifications.
- Measure finished parts using precision tools to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Maintain logs and records of production, including errors and discarded pieces.
- Inspect and align equipment prior to use; perform basic adjustments and routine maintenance.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
