What are the responsibilities and job description for the Global Facilities Operations Center Supervisor position at IDEXX?
IDEXX is growing and we are looking for a Global Facilities Operations Center Supervisor who will report into the Facilities Operations Center Manager. The successful candidate will provide direct leadership of personnel and activities in the IDEXX Global Facilities Operations Center, in Westbrook, ensuring that data collection, business continuity and emergency response procedures, Human Resources and Legal team support, and security functions meet business and compliance requirements while providing comfortable and safe working conditions. This position is an established customer point of contact for all Security and Facilities Operations Center support and services across the global IDEXX
portfolio.
To ensure that IDEXX Facilities infrastructure, processes, and services meet the evolving needs of the business, we will be a strategic partner and service provider of choice for the business teams. We will strive to achieve operational agility and flexibility, high employee engagement, cost excellence, and safe, sustainable operations.
In this Role you will:
Be responsible for the day-to-day oversight of the Global Facilities Operations Center, with indirect guidance to contracted security
Assign tasks and projects in line with GFOC responsibilities and goals
Coordinate with GFOC managers on technology maintenance and improvements across the portfolio, as well as team training and quality control of GFOC outgoing services
Supervise Global Facilities Operations Center staff, assigns work, monitors activities, evaluates performance, and responds to and manages critical issues and incidents
Maintains a consistent on-site presence at the One IDEXX Drive World Campus to support the Ops Center, Facilities team, IDEXX employees, contractors, and guests
Supports all aspects of business continuity and planning, including emergency and incident response functions
Ensures that GFOC policies and procedures are effective, and adhered to, and recommends needed adjustments to management
Responsible for identifying, enforcing, and communicating safety policies and expectations to IDEXX employees, contractors, and guests.
What You Will Need to Succeed:
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business Management, Information Security, or a related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Must have five years of progressive leadership experience, preferably in an emergency response, dispatcher, or operations center environment
Ability to lead and support a 24/7 Global Operations Center with responsibilities to corporate assets located world-wide
Strong commitment to teamwork
Ability to lead, motivate, and develop others
Must possess strong communication skills in both written and verbal form and the ability to use multiple forms of communication
Must possess interpersonal skills at all employee levels
Must apply problem-solving skills and techniques
Strong knowledge and understanding of business needs, with the ability to establish and maintain customer trust and confidence
Must maintain a valid driver’s license
