Job Overview
We are looking for a Summer dock hand to help us at Idlewild Resort this summer! Spend your summer on the shores of beautiful Lake Kabetogama soaking in the beauty of Voyageur's National Park, making lifelong memories, and learning valuable skills.
As a summer dock hand, you will be a face of the resort as you help our customers throughout their vacation with fish cleaning, boat landing and general upkeep of the resort. Your main responsibility is to be available to the customer, whether it's in the dock house or a short phone call or text. Posted wage does not include tips, which depend on service provided.
Daily hours are flexible, though availability is key. The ideal candidate would be available Monday through Saturday, though we are flexible on availability. Reach out to us to discuss your expectations.
Responsibilities
- Cleaning and Packaging Fish
- Assisting customers with launching, landing, and docking of boats.
- Yard Care (lawn mowing, weed whacking) and general resort upkeep (taking out the trash, cleaning up debris, etc).
- General maintenance activities (minor repairs, potentially larger repairs with supervision)
Experience
- Must be comfortable with cleaning and packaging fish. Prior experience in cleaning fish is not necessary but preferred. Training provided as needed!
- Prior experience with repairs, troubleshooting, and other problem solving is preferred.
- Preference will be given to those candidates with prior customer interaction
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $11.13 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
