Job Summary: The Tube Mill Production Supervisor provides area leadership and direct supervision to all Tube Mill employees on 1st and 2nd shift. The Tube Mill Production Supervisor is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of product quality and timely delivery to meet customer expectations and achieve corporate objectives. The Tube Mill Production Supervisor receives limited direction from the Operations Manager, develops work plans on both short- and long-term basis, and resolves most problems independently. The Supervisor is directly responsible for the safety, staffing, performance, efficiency, utilization, on-time delivery, and quality of all work at the tube mill on 1st and 2nd shift and is expected to constantly monitor and help control labor and material costs. The Supervisor will champion the REACH core values at Engendren.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following with other duties assigned as necessary:
- Interviewing, hiring, developing, and leading of team of FMOII Operators.
- Responsible for on-time work order completion according to production schedule requirements
- Reviews daily production schedules and plans work, and staff assignments based on sales forecasts, required man-hours, production capacity, materials availability, and production schedules.
- Report on Key Performance Indicators at towers.
- Monitors work-in-progress and spot-checks completed work to ensure that standards are met.
- Assumes administrative duties not limited to attendance point system record keeping, time off request forms, promotion, and transfer forms, disciplinary, training rosters, performance evaluations, safety training, and coaching forms.
- Identifies and corrects problems and inefficiencies in process, materials, equipment, or skills.
- Advises company management on technical tube manufacturing issues and recommends changes.
- Develop and implement training documentation, work instructions, onboarding procedures, and employee development plans.
- Identifying and helping to resolve discrepancies on work orders/routings.
- Anticipates and determines causes of delays in shift operations and takes appropriate action to expedite production.
- Provides daily status updates on completed and WIP orders to the Planning team.
- Anticipate, mitigate, and strive to avoid any delays or defects that can occur during Tube production.
- Ensures that preventative maintenance schedules are maintained for Tube Mill equipment.
- Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders and plans optimum workflow for the tube mill.
- Participate in continuous improvementimproving work center layout, writing ECNs, employee cross-training, and other projects as assigned.
- Consistently promote high standards through personal example and roll out through the team so that each member of the team understands the standards and behaviors expected of them.
- Generate purchase order requisitions for facility supplies and tools.
- Upholds work rules, counsels employees, and initiates disciplinary measures where appropriate.
- Collaborates with HR for all staffing, disciplinary, and safety needs.
- Directs/oversees the training of all employees to maintain staff proficiency for all area tasks.
- Responsible for training and developing leads to ensure that they too are upholding all the required company policies and procedures within production, safety, and environment.
- Provide coverage for absent colleagues, ensuring uninterrupted operations.
- Thorough understanding of raw materials, production processes, quality control, cost management, and other effective manufacturing and distribution techniques.
- Works in a safe manner at all times, ensures that safety rules are followed without exception.
- Ensures that all work is done in accordance with and adheres to IEAs ISO and Quality standards.

Work Environment:
- Work location: Tube Mill and shop office with computer.
- Exposure to: Fumes, airborne particles, wet/humid (non-weather) conditions, toxic/caustic chemicals, moving mechanical parts/equipment, inclement weather conditions.
- Personal protective equipment requirement: Safety glasses, safety shoes. Gloves and ear protection as necessary.

- Ability to read, understand and interpret field documents, shop drawings, and blueprints.
- Excellent computer skills: Office 365, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and MS Teams required.
- Strong knowledge of ERP programs is desired.
- Knowledge of occupational hazards and the ability to follow safe work practices.
- Extensive knowledge of Mitutoyo software, construction, machine repair, materials, and methods a plus.
- Experiential: 10 years of manufacturing experience with 5 years minimum as a lead/supervisor.
- Educational: Bachelors Degree in Manufacturing-related discipline is highly desirable. Associate degree in manufacturing or related technical area is desirable. Experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
- Certificates, Licenses: Forklift operator certification / valid drivers license.
