IT Cybersecurity Specialist (Google Platform)
Location: Remote plus some travel
Salary: Dependent upon experience, 1-year assignment
Job Description:
Inspection Experts, Inc. (IEI) is seeking a highly skilled IT Consultant – Cybersecurity with expertise in implementing security solutions using the Google platform. The ideal candidate will have experience in federal cybersecurity requirements, CMMC, GSA or federal regulations, and obtaining cybersecurity certifications. This role requires a Secret clearance and occasional travel (up to 10% of the time).
Key Responsibilities:
- Cybersecurity Implementation: Deploy and configure cybersecurity solutions using the Google platform to ensure compliance with federal security standards.
- Site Security Plan Development: Write and maintain Site Security Plans (SSP) to ensure proper security controls are documented and implemented.
- Security Certification Support: Assist in obtaining cybersecurity certifications, including CMMC compliance, by preparing security documentation, conducting assessments, and implementing necessary controls.
- Compliance & Regulatory Guidance: Provide expertise on GSA regulations, federal security standards, and other compliance frameworks applicable to government contractors.
- Risk Assessment & Mitigation: Identify security risks, conduct vulnerability assessments, and recommend remediation strategies to strengthen cybersecurity posture.
- Incident Response & Security Monitoring: Support security incident response activities and ensure continuous monitoring of IT systems for threats and vulnerabilities.
- Collaboration & Reporting: Work closely with internal teams, federal clients, and stakeholders to ensure security requirements are met and properly documented.
- Travel Requirement: Travel up to 10% of the time for client meetings, assessments, and security implementations.
Required Qualifications:
- Active Secret Clearance (or ability to obtain one).
- Proven experience in cybersecurity implementation using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or other Google security solutions.
- Strong knowledge of CMMC (Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification) and experience guiding organizations through compliance.
- Understanding of GSA regulations and federal cybersecurity policies.
- Experience developing and maintaining Site Security Plans (SSP) and other security documentation.
- Strong familiarity with NIST 800-171, NIST 800-53, and other federal cybersecurity frameworks.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and technical writing skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, Security , CEH, or Google Cloud Security certifications.
- Experience working with federal agencies or government contractors.
- Knowledge of FedRAMP, RMF (Risk Management Framework), and other federal security standards.
- Hands-on experience with Google Workspace Security, Google Cloud IAM, and security automation tools.
