Project Engineering Support
Location: Abroad
Inspection Experts, Inc. (IEI) are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Project Engineering Support professional to provide comprehensive facilitation support services for engineering projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating all necessary resources, including labor, supervision, training, local transportation, equipment, and materials (excluding those provided by the government), ensuring the smooth execution of engineering projects from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and external agencies across all phases of project development and execution.
- Facilitate communication between stakeholders to ensure project alignment, timely updates, and successful completion.
- Assist in gathering and analyzing data to develop project scopes of work and related documentation.
- Review and assess site and facility as-built conditions, ensuring constructability and maintainability of construction projects.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to review and provide feedback on project concepts, designs, and submittals.
- Facilitate submittals and manage project documentation in collaboration with the designated project manager.
- Develop and submit Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and technical specifications, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
- Evaluate Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and recommend actions based on budget and schedule impacts.
- Review and verify the completeness of technical and operational information, assessing maintainability and evaluating impacts on design and commissioning.
- Conduct technical reviews of project elements and provide feedback on maintainability, design intent, and Total Building Commissioning (TBCx).
- Assist with space planning, space utilization, equipment and furniture procurement, and move planning in alignment with project goals.
- Ensure compliance with project cost, quality, and schedule requirements.
- Support facility users in developing maintenance plans for post-occupancy sustainment.
- Provide recommendations on office operations and project-related issues.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering science field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare construction, specifically in medical MILCON projects of $250 million or larger.
- At least 15 years of experience in project management within healthcare construction or facilities management.
- Experience with Joint Commission (TJC) hospital accreditation survey processes.
- Proven track record in healthcare facilities management and construction.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
- Experience with healthcare construction, interior outfitting, and transition processes.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with military medical healthcare facilities.
- Familiarity with medical laboratory equipment and sterilization systems.
