What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Lead / Tech II on call position at IES Communications?
Job Summary:
Hours: Monday – Friday; 8am – 5pm. Dedicated 40 Hours each week.
On-Call - 1 week every 6 weeks.
- Compensation for On-Call is $175.00 for the week.
- Tasks receive during on call are charged as follows.
- Monday – Friday is time and half.
- Weekends/Holidays is double time.
Requirements
- Fluke Certified (Preferred)
- CCTT
- Corning Certified (Preferred)
- CFI Installer
- Commscope Certified (Preferred)
- ACT 1 & 2
- OSHA 10
- Experience in structured cabling (Cable support, rough-in, dress and terminations).
- Experience in Rack/Stack of equipment (Switches, Routers, PDU’s, etc.).
- Experience troubleshooting both Copper and Fiber cabling issues.
- Experience troubleshooting devices such as Wireless Access Points and Phones (Voice Analog & VOIP).
- Experience in Excel, Word, and Teams.
- Experience reading plans/drawings.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
- Regular attendance is mandatory
- Must be self-motivated, positive in approach, professional and help create, develop and implement project process improvement(s).
- Must promote the Company culture and mission to all employees, vendors, clients and business partners.
- Must be able to act as the Company liaison for interface with customer representative(s).
- Must possess proven problem-solving skills, critical thinking skills and the ability to effectively read, write and give oral presentation(s).
- Must be able to work at heights, off a ladder and in confined spaces, lift up to 50 pounds and move up to 75 pounds.
- Must be able to see and distinguish different colors, read small print and hear and recognize audible signals such as dial tones.
- Must be able to travel within the branch territory and/or regional territory as needed.
- Must have a strong aptitude for independent working environment and high productivity rate
- Must be available to work on-call as required.

Pay: $24.00 - $36.00 per hour
