Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team at IES Infrastructure. As part of the Plant Power & Control Systems segment, you will be responsible for designing, manufacturing, and installing medium and low voltage switchgear solutions.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering with experience in the design, construction, and commissioning of electrical switchgear systems. You will work closely with our operations and field service team to provide technical support and ensure seamless execution of projects.
In this role, you will:
- Design and develop medium and low voltage switchgear systems that meet customer specifications and industry standards
- Collaborate with sales teams to provide technical input during the quotation phase of projects
- Analyze complex technical issues and apply engineering principles to determine optimal solutions
- Prepare studies and make recommendations on system improvements and upgrades
You will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant codes and regulations, including the National Electric Code, ANSI NFPA, IEEE, OSHA, and local codes. Additionally, you will assist in preparing scope of project work, cost estimates, and interfaces with clients.
