General Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team in Monroe, GA. The Electrical Estimator will be responsible for accurately estimating electrical costs for residential multi-family projects. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of electrical systems and construction processes. This is a full-time position that is ideal for the field technician wanting to transition to the office or a recent graduate who is looking for hands on training, exposure to new construction projects, and an opportunity to work with an amazing team! Job Responsibilities:

  • Estimate Preparation
    • Develop accurate and detailed electrical estimates for residential multi-family projects, including labor, materials, and overhead costs.
  • Blueprint Analysis
    • Review and interpret project drawings, specifications, and other documents to identify electrical requirements and scope of work.
  • Cost Analysis
    • Analyze costs associated with materials, labor, and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing and profitability.
  • Supplier and Subcontractor Coordination
    • Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotes and verify pricing, ensuring the best value for projects.
  • Bid Submission
    • Prepare and submit comprehensive bids and proposals to project managers and clients, adhering to deadlines and requirements.
  • Project Support
    • Work closely with project managers and construction teams to clarify estimates and adjust costs as necessary throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Market Research
    • Stay updated on industry trends, pricing changes, and new products to provide accurate estimates and maintain competitiveness.
  • Documentation
    • Maintain organized records of estimates, proposals, and correspondence for future reference and audits.
  • Collaboration
    • Participate in project meetings to provide input on electrical estimates and address any concerns regarding project costs and feasibility.

Specific Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Estimating experience, or Construction Management graduate or experience in related field a plus.
  • 2 years of experience as an electrical estimator in the residential construction sector, with a focus on multi-family projects.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, codes, and standards.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and tools (e.g., Accubid, Estimating Pro).
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
