Full job description – Plumbing & HVAC Project Manager / Supervisor
General Job Description:
IES Residential (IESR) is seeking to fill the position of Project Manager / Supervisor in Plumbing and HVAC.
Position Overview: As a Residential Plumbing and HVAC Project Manager / Supervisor, you will play a key leadership role in our residential services division, overseeing the day-to-day operations of our plumbing and HVAC Installers and technicians. You will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of the team, ensuring quality workmanship, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Your technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to excellence will contribute to the success of our residential services division.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of residential plumbing and HVAC technicians, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure high performance and productivity.
- Project Management: Plan, organize, and oversee plumbing and HVAC projects from start to finish, including scheduling, resource allocation, and budget management.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all plumbing and HVAC work meets quality standards, codes, and regulations, conducting inspections and providing feedback to team members as needed.
- Customer Service: Interact with residential clients in a professional and courteous manner, addressing their concerns, answering questions, and providing expert advice on plumbing and HVAC issues.
- Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance and assistance to technicians, troubleshooting complex problems, and ensuring the proper installation and operation of plumbing and HVAC systems and components.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment, conducting regular safety meetings, and ensuring compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements.
- Inventory Management: Manage inventory of materials, tools, and equipment, ensuring adequate supplies are available for projects and maintaining accurate records of usage and expenses.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of project documentation, including work orders, invoices, and permits, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Continuing Education: Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices through training and professional development opportunities.

- 4-6 years experience
- Proven experience in plumbing operations management or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, equipment, and materials.

- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and codes.
- Management experience preferred
- Licenses: Electrical/Plumbing Journeyman preferred.
