JOB SUMMARY:
Technical review of applications, products, and related documents to ensure meeting the Halal standards. Ensure the following applicable laws and regulations and review principles, procedures, and techniques. Data collection, organizing, and recording. Report review findings and recommendations based on Halal certification requirements and process.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Review halal certification applications and documents submitted by the clients
2. Review and approve ingredients
3. Review and approve labels
4. Review requests related to certifying raw materials, ingredients, or products from existing or new clients
5. Apply Halal standards and requirements when reviewing client’s applications or inquiries to ensure acceptability for Halal certification
6. Provide review reports, recommendations, and suggestions on applications and inquiries
7. Work on a Halal Portal project to establish a database on the IFANCA website of all ingredients the clients use in their products
8. Assist the Quality Manager in preparing quality documents including standard operating procedures, quality manual, training material, and other documents
REQUIREMENTS:
- Mature and personal Muslim faith
- Committed to the mission, vision, and values of IFANCA
- Able to understand, interpret and communicate technical aspects of halal certification processes, regulations, and standards
- Adapt to changing business needs, conditions, and work responsibilities; and work with a variety of situations, individuals, groups, and varying customer needs
- Prioritize tasks by importance and deadlines and adjust priorities as situations change
- Requires exceptional verbal and written communication and outstanding presentation skills
- Proficient in MS Office applications and ability to utilize other software programs as needed
- Demonstrate professionalism, confidentiality, and teamwork
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Pharmacy, Bio-Chemistry, or Biology
- Similar work experience is preferred

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
