We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Chemist to join our research and development team in the water-based adhesives industry. The successful candidate will play a key role in formulating, testing, and improving adhesive products for a variety of applications while also traveling to different locations to support customers, troubleshoot product issues, and ensure quality standards. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional who enjoys both laboratory work and field experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the formulation and development of water based adhesive products to meet customer and industry specifications.
Conduct laboratory experiments and analyze the physical and chemical properties of adhesives.
Perform quality control testing to ensure product consistency and performance.
Travel to customer sites to provide technical support, troubleshooting issues, and ensure proper application of adhesive products.
Document experimental procedures, results, and findings in technical reports.
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and sales.
Maintain a clean and safe laboratory environment while adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
Assist in troubleshooting product issues and developing solutions to improve product performance.
Stay current with industry trends, advancements, and emerging technologies in water based adhesive chemistry.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
Willingness to travel frequently (domestic and/or international) to customer locations and production facilities.
Experience with polymer chemistry, adhesives, coatings, or related materials is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Basic knowledge of laboratory instruments such as viscometers, spectrometers, and tensile testers.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Valid driver’s license and passport (if international travel is required).
Salary : $70,000 - $90,000
