**Overview**
We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused individual to join our meat department team at IGA Southeast. As a Meat Sales Associate, you will play a vital role in supporting the profitable operations of our meat department through sales maximization, production standards, and delivering yield standards from primals.
**Responsibilities**
- Provide exceptional customer service to all customers, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
- Cut, trim, and prepare product for sale according to Floco Foods standards.
- Price, stock, and rotate frozen and prepared meats and fresh meat case effectively.
- Offer special customer service requests, such as special cuts or slicing.
- Maintain high sanitation standards in the cooler, sales, and prep areas.
- Ensure high-quality, fresh, and properly dated product is available for sale.
- Communicate temperature failures to supervisors promptly.
- Announce meat department sale items on the PA system to inform customers.
- Assist in product receiving and storage, maintaining a well-organized inventory.
**Qualifications**
- A friendly, outgoing personality with excellent communication skills.
- The ability to work well with others in a fast-paced environment.
- The capacity to lift 100 lbs occasionally and 40 lbs constantly.
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
- Effective communication and customer service skills.
- A minimum age requirement of 18 years.
- An ability to work in a cold environment.
- The ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods of time.
- Prior meat cutting experience is preferred.
- Meat cutting skill test qualifications are required.
