**Job Overview:**
As a key member of the IGA Southeast team, the ideal candidate will actively support the profitable operations of the meat department by maximizing sales, adhering to production standards, and ensuring yield standards from primals are consistently met. To excel in this role, you must be able to fully cut product from primals, work pre-packed product, and manage inventory levels relative to financial expectations.
**Responsibilities:**
1. Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring every interaction is polite and friendly.
2. Prepare products for sale by cutting, weighing, and trimming according to IGA Southeast standards.
3. Price, stock, and rotate frozen and prepared meats and fresh meat cases to ensure optimal visibility and appeal.
4. Cater to special customer requests, such as special cuts or slicing.
5. Maintain high sanitation standards in the cooler, sales, and prep areas.
6. Ensure that high-quality, fresh, and properly dated products are always available for sale.
7. Communicate temperature failures to management immediately.
8. Promote meat department sale items on the PA system.
9. Assist in receiving and storing products.
10. Perform other tasks assigned by management to contribute to the team's success.
