We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Dance Fitness Instructor to join our team. At Ignit we like to use dance as exercise alongside rhythm base strength training. Consider it a fusion Dance Class and High Intensity Interval Training. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Group Fitness and a passion for serving others. As a Cardio Beats Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching dance fitness & strength training techniques, alongside practicing and creating the choreography for the class
Cardio Beats is a fun and engaging cardio workout that combines choreographed movements, strength training, and rhythmic cardio exercises set to heart-pumping music. Our classes are designed to accommodate all fitness levels—no prior dance experience is required—while helping participants improve coordination, build strength, and boost cardiovascular health.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Cardio Beats classes with a focus on high-energy, rhythm-based exercises, making sure participants are engaged and motivated throughout the session.
- Create and deliver a well-paced workout that incorporates both strength training and cardio exercises designed to maximize fitness results.
- Ensure exercises are performed safely and provide modifications for various fitness levels to ensure inclusivity.
- Encourage a positive, supportive environment where participants feel empowered, whether they are beginners or advanced.
- Curate playlists that enhance the workout experience, using music as a central motivator to energize and guide the pace of the class.
- Maintain proper form and technique, ensuring participants are exercising safely while performing the movements.
- Provide personalized feedback and encouragement to class participants.
- Stay up to date with current trends in fitness and music and continue to innovate your teaching methods.
Qualifications:
- Passion for fitness and helping others improve their health and well-being.
- Experience leading group fitness classes, especially in cardio-based or dance-inspired formats, is preferred but not required.
- Ability to motivate and inspire participants of all fitness levels.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to make the class experience fun and welcoming.
- Certification in group fitness instruction (or the willingness to obtain one) is a plus.
- CPR and/or First Aid Certification is required.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
