Job Description Summary:
The Accountant will prepare and maintain financial records to track the organization’s assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities.

- Review projects for accurate revenue recognition and provide project analysis and recommendations based on findings.
- Ensure all project costs are processed. Reconcile monthly inventories, and materials analysis as directed.
- Assist in the month-end, quarter-end, and annual closing of books according to the priorities set forth by the Financial Controller.
- Execute bank account and credit card reconciliations with timely follow-up and proper resolution of exception items. Ensure that all Balance Sheet accounts have lead sheets that support their balances and amortizations, if applicable.
- Perform Balance Sheet accounts reconciliation and analysis.
- Explain month over month trends on operating expenses and trends versus budget.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and tax filings.
- Complete various ad-hoc analyses and projects that may cover financial forecasting, cash planning and margin analyses.
- Participate in meetings to discuss open and emerging business issues and makes recommendations for improvements.
- Serve as lead to other Accountants in absence of Accounting Manager.
- Assist with accounts payable as required.
- Complete other related duties and assist with special projects as needed.

Required Education, Skills and Abilities
- Four-year college degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Four or more years demonstrated successful experience in Accounting or Finance.
- Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Demonstrated strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office programs. NetSuite accounting software experience is strongly preferred.
- Spoken Communication - Fluent in English, with clear articulation and professional delivery.
- Written Communication- Written communication must be high quality, fluent and free of grammatical errors or plagiarism.
- Strong organizational skills in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to prioritize and coordinate competing work demands and maintain composure under pressure.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse group of individuals.
- Ability to exercise discretion, independent judgment and work with minimal supervision.
