Position Summary :
With general supervision, the Human Resources Associate provides comprehensive support and proactively facilitates daily operations of the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) team by executing Human Resources (HR) policies and procedures, initiating resource planning, and maintaining interdepartmental communication. Partners with HRBPs to provide support to clients by building credible and trusted relationships with business leaders. Provides support for human resource transactions including document management, HRIS entry, recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and special projects. This role is positioned within a highly functioning HR team with a focus on relationships, culture, talent development, data interpretation, goals, and initiatives. The Human Resources Associate is responsible for ensuring HR departmental operations run smoothly by effectively delivering maximum value to the organization as a whole.
Essential Functions :
- Performs supportive and routine tasks to support Human Resources Business Partners (HRBPs) and client groups.
- Partners with HRBPs and leaders to support business goals as necessary.
- Collaborates with HRBPs and leaders in researching and compiling information and metrics to facilitate HR strategy and support HRBP client groups.
- Facilitates employee changes including but not limited to job titles, pay rates, schedules, supervisory organizations, separations, stipends, contract workers (CWR), and federal work-study (FWS) requests.
- Acts as the first point of contact for employee queries on policy-related topics.
- Responds in a timely manner and provides updates, as needed, to internal and external customer inquiries.
- Coordinates employee onboarding in conjunction with Talent Acquisition, the HR Business Partner, and the hiring manager.
- Assists with employee relations and corrective action processes, including reviewing exit surveys and conducting exit interviews.
- Assists with recruitments including reviewing and editing job descriptions, submitting job descriptions for compensation grading, submitting job requisition requests, approvals, and offers.
- Coordinates personnel and HRIS transactions, data requests, reports, and corrections with HR COEs.
- Manages People Meeting requests including preparing requests on the agenda, completing tools for compensation analysis, reviewing resumes, and following up with leaders and Talent Acquisition on approvals.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources.
- Ensures employee files and records are accurate and stored in an appropriate electronic format.
- Responsible for creating and maintaining trackers, processing documents, and other electronic materials to support client groups.
- Assists with special, bi-annual, and annual projects.
- Provides guidance and training to HR Service Center Specialists on specific HR Associate and client group tasks.
- Presents the attendance guidelines onboarding training materials to covered staff during their department orientation training.
- Supports the annual performance evaluation process by answering questions from client groups, reviewing performance evaluations, and providing guidance to leaders, approving performance evaluations in the system.
- Enhances employee satisfaction by resolving issues promptly.
