We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Operations Admin to join our team in supporting government cloud infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in both on-prem and cloud environments, datacenters, and servers. Qualified candidates possess expertise in administering multiple types of environments that align with government standards and requirements.
As a Data Center Operations Admin, you will:
- Install, upgrade, and maintain physical/virtual servers, network cabling, rack-mounting, and storage devices within on-prem data centers.
- Monitor system performance and respond to incidents using enterprise infrastructure monitoring tools integrated with EOC dashboards.
- Support change, release, and configuration management processes, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to change windows.
- Assist in inventory management, asset disposition, and system decommissioning activities for data center migrations.
- Perform daily system health checks on Windows Server, RHEL, VMware, and storage environments.
- Utilize Red Hat Satellite Server and Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager for patching, updates, and compliance enforcement.
- Troubleshoot network, hardware, and system issues across Cisco UCS, Sun M-series, and IBM GPFS environments.
- Enforce data center security policies, access controls, and backup/recovery strategies.
- Hands-on experience with VMware ESXi, Windows Server, RHEL.
- Hardware experience with Cisco UCS, Sun M Servers, IBM GPFS.
- Familiarity with Red Hat Satellite Server, Ansible, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager.
- Network troubleshooting skills.
- Strong documentation and ITIL process knowledge.
- Experience with enterprise monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Splunk, SolarWinds).
- 2 years of experience in similar roles
