Key Responsibilities
- Design and specify power distribution systems (panel schedules, risers), lighting, lighting control systems, and low-voltage systems
- Design specialized electrical systems, including emergency generator systems, site lighting, fire alarms, and nurse call systems
- Coordinate with clients during meetings/webinars to align electrical systems with other project components
- Work with vendors to specify and select appropriate equipment for projects
- Manage revisions and deliverables, ensuring timely project completion
- Review submittals and shop drawings, ensuring design accuracy
- Respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) during the design and construction process
- Prepare construction drawings and specifications using CAD/REVIT
- Supervise and mentor Junior Electrical Designers
- Review, supervise, and stamp electrical designs
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) License required
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years as an Electrical Engineer, preferably with experience in medical, office, retail, and multi-family projects
- Skills:
- Proficiency inRevitandAutoCAD
- Familiarity withNECand other applicable industry codes
- Experience with industry-standard software, including Microsoft Office products
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects, tasks, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
