Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Perform Finite Element Method (FEM) static analysis of launch vehicle structures
· Provide insight to the design team regarding structural changes based on analysis results and provide support to stress team Tabletop Review / Preliminary Design Review products, contractual deliverables, Integrated Product Team meetings, and other meetings and documentation support as needed.
· Support development and delivery of contract deliverables related to the design subsystem’s structure.
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
· Familiarity with FEM analysis and classical stress and strain methodology (for example: engineering statics, and structural mechanics including hand calculations)
· Experience using NASTRAN
Desired Experience
· 5 years in stress analysis and FEM building ability
· Strong structural analysis background with demonstrated work experience
· Non-linear, and buckling analysis experience
· Experience with composite materials and test analysis
