Position summary:

The primary purpose of this position is to operate the stamping press and ensure customer parts are produced per order specifications.

Essential functions and responsibilities:

· Review router, drawings, specifications, or sample parts to ensure that required materials have been pulled and setup for production.

· Operate stamping press to produce parts within required specifications and tolerances.

· Measure parts for conformance to specification.

· Inspect parts as well as raw materials before, during, and after production runs; verify that materials are devoid of burs.

· Maintain a clean work area and equipment, orderly and perform basic preventative maintenance on equipment as needed.

· Work with a variety of calipers or micrometers.

· All other duties as assigned by supervisor.

· Review router, drawings, specifications, or sample parts to determine required materials and set up requirements; pull correct die and material from inventory racks.

· Cut metal to specifications using basic measuring tools and metal shearing machines; ensure metal debris is removed from machine area as to not affect other parts.

· Maintain a clean and orderly work area and equipment; perform basic preventative maintenance on equipment as needed.

· Work with a variety of calipers or micrometers.

· Incumbent will be required to use a computer with keyboard, telephone or handheld mobile device for extended periods of time, and office machinery as needed.

· Individual will be required to use basic hand and measuring tools, such as calipers, or micrometers.

· The employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts while performing the duties of this job.

· The employee is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock.

· Work involves occasional exposure to unpleasant elements, such as fumes, loud noises, etc.

· Individual will be required to lift, push, pull, and carry up to fifty (50) pounds occasionally, and/or up to twenty (20) pounds frequently, and/or up to ten (10) pounds constantly.

· Work involves long periods of standing.

· Incumbent must be able to read, see, hear, and speak.

Work days and shifts:

Position works Monday – Friday, daylight hours, and additional time as needed to complete work.

Education/Certification(s)/License(s) required:

High School Diploma or GED; and/or equivalent work experience.

Experience/Other required:

· Good basic math skills.

· Ability to interpret blueprints.

Compensation:

Wage based on experience for all positions
