What are the responsibilities and job description for the Branch Manager position at IH Credit Union?
SUMMARY:
IH Credit Union is looking for an experienced and ambitious branch manager to oversee all functions of a branch location from managing member relations to developing business strategies. Applicants should have a good combination of analytical and communication skills as well as the ability to improve productivity to achieve the financial targets of the branch. The ideal candidate should be excited about building a great team and establishing a good rapport with new and existing members in the community. The successful candidate will spend up to 25% of the time on business development in the surrounding area.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage staff, foster a positive environment and ensure member satisfaction and proper branch operation.
- Maintains knowledge of the Credit Union's computer/network system, all products and services.
- Loan review and loan underwriting.
- Adhere to high ethical standard and ensure that branch is in compliance with federal laws and regulations set forth by regulatory agencies.
- Monitors office activity, including transactions, loan and sales volume, etc.
- Maintains control over audit procedures to ensure compliance with internal controls.
- Knowledge using ITM(Interactive Teller Machine) live video technology connected to various IH Credit Union branches.
- Formulates recommendations and provides feedback to management regarding operations policies and procedures.
- Efficiently train staff in regards to operations, policies and motivate staff to promote CU products and services.
- Manage daily operations, especially member service and finance activities, and make improvements as needed.
- Schedules, supervises, and motivates branch staff in an effort to maintain optimal member experience levels.
- Complete projects on a timely basis as assigned by management.
- Sufficient knowledge of modern management techniques and best practices.
- Represent and promote IH Credit Union within the area and surrounding business community.
- Performs other various duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree preferred; Associate's degree; or one to two years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Related work experience may substitute for education.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as credit bureau reports, procedure manuals, etc.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively with members and other employees of organization.
Able to communicate effectively by telephone and email.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages.

The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet. Travel to different branch locations, conferences, and business related matters when needed will be expected.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
