READ THIS BEFORE APPLYING

This is a high-performance, high-pressure, high-reward role. If you are not an absolute expert in hail repair operations, estimating, and insurance negotiation, this is NOT for you.

This is NOT an entry-level position.

This is NOT for someone who “wants to learn.”

This is NOT for anyone who crumbles under pressure or needs micromanaging.

This IS for a field-tested estimator who knows hail repair inside and out, thrives in high-stakes insurance negotiations, and understands the extreme demands of peak storm season. If that’s you, keep reading.

Who We Are & What We Expect

iHail is an elite hail repair operation, specializing in maximizing insurance approvals for proper repairs. We don’t play games. Adjusters sent out by insurance companies will try to cut repair costs in half—your job is to fight for every dollar.

We expect ruthless attention to detail, extreme efficiency, and unwavering confidence when justifying estimates and negotiating. You must be able to defend every single line item based on manufacturer repair specifications and stand your ground against adjusters who try to remove justified repairs.

Speed Accuracy: You must scope every vehicle in 30 minutes max, while missing absolutely nothing.

Technical Mastery: You must understand and justify intricate, high-value estimates within a 75% approval margin.

Attention to Detail: Parts and extra operations make up 25-60% of total revenue. You cannot afford to miss damaged parts or fail to explain why a repair is required.

Teamwork & Communication: You will work side by side with our team and must be highly organized, reliable, and committed.

What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)

Scoping & Photos: Use dent lights to meticulously document every single piece of hail damage (including often-missed items like headlights, cowls, moldings, and trim pieces). NO DAMAGE MISSED.

Estimate Justification: You must be able to explain and defend every line item with confidence—knowing the correct way to repair a vehicle per manufacturer specifications and why certain operations are non-negotiable.

Adjuster Negotiation: Insurance adjusters WILL try to cut our estimates down. Your job is to push back, escalate when necessary, and fight to maintain the full repair value.

Follow Standard Operating Procedures: We use a strict process for inspections, pre-approvals, and re-inspections. You must adhere to this process to ensure the highest approval rate possible.

Extreme Organization & Scheduling: This role is fast-paced and demanding. You must stay on top of scheduling adjusters, preparing vehicles for inspections, and ensuring all documentation is flawless and ready to go.

Non-Negotiables (Performance Metrics & Expectations)

Scoping:

  • Must scope vehicles within 30 minutes max—zero missed damage.
  • Must properly document all damage using dent lights.

Estimate Accuracy & Approval Rates:

  • Must maintain an approval margin of at least 75% on submitted estimates.
  • Parts & extra operations make up 25-60% of total revenue—they must be accounted for in the estimate and justified properly.

Adjuster Handling:

  • NO “buddy-buddy” behavior with adjusters. We start cordial, but your job is to fight for every justified line item.
  • Adjusters must NOT leave the shop unless a satisfactory approval amount is verified or the client is involved.
  • If an adjuster refuses to approve justified repairs, you must escalate to their manager or involve the client.

Zero Tolerance for Mistakes:

  • Missed damaged parts = money lost = unacceptable.
  • Inability to explain justified operations = lost revenue = unacceptable.
  • Failure to follow SOPs = job failure.

Company Culture & Lifestyle Fit

This is not a “clock-in, clock-out” job. We work HARD in peak season (60-70 hours/week) so we can enjoy 3-4 months off in the winter. If you’re the type of guy who:

Is in his 30s or 40s, not tied down, and comfortable traveling & working long hours.

Has hail repair experience from the operations side, not just insurance estimating.

Takes pride in being a high performer—you DO NOT need to be micromanaged.

Is loyal, trustworthy, and values camaraderie.

Knows how to fight for what’s right, while staying professional.

Then you’ll fit in perfectly here.

Compensation & Perks

Base Commission Bonuses = $191,250 - $286,875 total comp.

Housing stipend of $800/mo.

Massive earning potential for high performers.

Work hard during storm season, then enjoy a few months off.

DO NOT APPLY IF:

You lack hail repair operations experience (this is NOT an entry-level job).

You’ve never negotiated hail repair estimates against adjusters.

You’re not comfortable working 60 hours a week in peak season.

You struggle with high-stakes, high-pressure environments.

You need hand-holding, reminders, or constant supervision.
