Telecom Specialist

II Corps (Second Corps) Consultants Inc. is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) focused on the providing end-to-end training and education solutions to the federal government.

We are seeking a cleared and skilled Telecommunication Specialist to support a 4-5 month contract (with potential extension) in Quantico, VA. This is a full-time W2 position.

Top Secret (TS) Clearance Required
Salary Range: $80,000 - $85,000 benefits
Must be able/willing to 100% on-site in Alexandria, VA.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain strategic and tactical satellite data equipment, Internet Protocol (IP) based networks, telephone networks, video teleconferencing systems, vehicle-mounted and portable computer networks, radio systems, and tactical radio systems
• May be required to deploy to OCONUS and CONUS locations to operate and maintain communication systems in support of the mission requirements
• Maintain, integrate, and deploy the various types of satellite data equipment
• Collaborate with team members to implement effective communication solutions

Requirements Qualifications:

• Top Secret (TS) Clearance
• 5 years of experience in Information Technology, Networking, and/or Telecommunications
• Expert knowledge in basic network and security
• Ability to work in various environments/conditions; including but limited to an austere and/or hazardous environment
• Must have basic Category 5/6 network, coaxial, RF, and AC/DC wiring skills.
• Experience programming and operating land mobile UHF/VHF radios; Tactical Satellite Radios; Mobile Satellite Radios; and Ku, X and Ka band VSAT terminals.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the U.S. Government including law enforcement and DoD personnel.
• Hard working knowledge of the operations within a Tactical Operations Center (TOC).

Preferred:

• Certification in relevant telecommunications or networking fields is a plus.
• Veteran with a minimum of 5 years’ service and honorable discharge.
