Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the financial performance of the Industrial Optics Product Line and formalizes P&L-based metrics including revenue, gross margin, new product revenue, and R&D spending control.
  • Responsible for leading R&D direction and cooperating with the R&D team on all new projects, new technology, platform, and product development, and design wins.
  • Responsible for cooperating with operation and engineering teams to control and improve product cost structure to meet market benchmarks and customer expectations.
  • Responsible for the growth of the Industrial Optics Product Line and developing capacity plans to meet the company's expectations.
  • Responsible for tracking market trends and formulating product roadmaps to achieve a successful and sustainable business plan.
  • Participates in the establishment of Product Line strategy, coordinates the allocation of resource priorities, and works with cross-teams to satisfy customers and develop new opportunities through close cooperation with global Sales, Engineering, R&D, and Operations teams.
  • Responsible for maintaining the highest degree of integrity, concern for quality, meeting and exceeding customer commitments, and concern for personnel.
  • Responsible for meeting all health, safety, and environmental requirements and regulations.

Education & Experience

  • 10 years of experience in progressively more responsible management positions.
  • 5 years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, R&D / project management, or business development of optics, optical components, or related industrial fields.
  • M.S. or Ph.D. degree in Physics, Optics, Mechanics, Electronics, or related engineering field.
  • Skills

  • Strong organizational, financial, global business, and technical leadership ability.
  • Depth technical knowledge and understanding of optics application markets.
  • Strong customer focus and relationship skills.
  • Strong ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and follow through with results.
  • Strong communication (both verbal and written) skills across functions and multiple national cultures.
  • Strong communication with and managing major customers.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Safety Requirements
