An Automotive parts warehousing / logistics company located 40 miles northwest of Columbus,OH is seeking a Sr. Accountant.
Salary range:$90,000 (Exempt)
Report to the Controller
Qualification:
-Accounting or Finance degree
-At least 5 years of hands-on experience in the corporate environment
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Manage operating lease and capital lease schedules
• Make the quarterly sales tax payment to the State of Ohio
• Record payroll entries into the General Ledger
• Review and reconcile fixed assets between the fixed asset system and the general ledger
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports for Parent Company
• Review accounts payable batches ensuring that invoices are accurately recorded into the correct general ledger account
• Prepare monthly financial statements and accompanying notes to management
• Prepare labor schedules reflecting actual expense against budget and forecast
• Work with external year-end auditors, providing them with the voluminous information that they request and ultimately procuring the finalized income statements
• Monthly bank reconciliation and review and detail the weekly cash flow report
• Monthly reconciliation of all balance sheet general ledger accounts
• Work with CPA firm to file annual tax return
• Prepare monthly allocations, and journal entries assigned
• Prepare invoice detail as assigned for Insurance companies
• Prepare monthly accounts payable accrual
• Prepare annual 1099's
• When necessary, this position may be required to perform other functions as required to meet the company’s and/or our customer's needs/demands.
