Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabrication Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in fabricating, assembling, and installing metal components and structures according to blueprints and specifications. This role requires precision, technical expertise, and a commitment to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to plan fabrication processes.
- Cut, shape, and assemble metal components using tools such as shears, saws, presses, and welders.
- Perform welding (MIG, TIG, or stick) and other joining techniques to create high-quality metal structures.
- Measure and inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and tolerances.
- Maintain and troubleshoot fabrication equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet project deadlines and specifications.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in metal fabrication or welding preferred.
- 2 years of experience in metal fabrication, welding, or a related field.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong knowledge of fabrication techniques, including cutting, bending, and welding.
- Familiarity with tools and machinery such as welders, grinders, and cutting equipment.
- Ability to perform precise measurements using calipers, micrometers, and other tools.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Valid welding certifications (e.g., AWS, ASME) are a plus.
