Project Engineer

Our client is looking to add a Project Engineer to their team.

Job Responsibilities Project Engineer:

As a Project Engineer, you will design, develop, and implement automation systems for industrial applications. Key responsibilities include:

• Automation System Design & Development:

Create engineering drawings, PLC/HMI programs, and control panel designs.

Develop and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems.

Project Execution & Customer Interface:

• Work with customers to define project requirements and solutions.
• Oversee system startup, testing, and commissioning.
• Coordinate with vendors, CAD, and manufacturing teams.
• Process Improvement & Business Development:

Identify optimization opportunities and assist in generating proposals.

Support project documentation, financial reporting, and invoicing.

Compliance & Documentation:

• Maintain accurate records of designs, reports, and system configurations.
• Ensure adherence to safety policies and industry standards.

• Project Engineer Qualifications:
• Education & Experience:
  
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (preferred) OR equivalent experience.
  • 3 years of experience in automation, PLC programming, or control systems.
• Technical Skills:
  
  • Proficiency in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.) and HMI/SCADA development.
  • Experience with industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus, etc.).
  • Ability to troubleshoot and commission automation systems.
• Soft Skills & Additional Requirements:
  
  • Strong problem-solving and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Willingness to travel (up to 25%) and a valid Driver's License.
  • Ability to relocate to Iowa (relocation assistance provided).

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary: Up to $120,000 (based on experience)
