What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Director of Preschool position at iKids Preschool?
Responsibilities:
- Support the Director in daily school operations, ensuring a safe and enriching environment for children and staff.
- Act as the face of the school, engaging with parents, children, and staff in a warm and professional manner.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with state licensing and accreditation standards.
- Lead and support teachers in implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum.
- Handle enrollment inquiries, conduct tours, and build strong relationships with prospective and current families.
- Support teacher training, mentorship, and classroom management strategies.
- Manage administrative tasks, including scheduling, record-keeping, and staff coordination.
- Step into classrooms as needed to support teachers and maintain ratios.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of classroom experience in an early childhood setting.
- Passion for early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.
- Willingness to begin the Director’s Credential (if not already obtained).
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Fluent in English.
- Ability to multitask and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.
