Job Description

WHEN YOU JOIN US, YOU WILL BE:

• Performing the required testing of asphalt roofing shingles and raw materials

• Collecting and compiling of samples at different stages in the production process to prepare physical analysis and reports

• Preparing basic laboratory reports by recording the necessary data on charts, graphs and forms to be used by the Quality Assurance Engineer, Engineering Department and Superintendents

• Following and adhering to Laboratory Quality Control SOPs

• Maintaining good record keeping practices and strict adherence to quality and safety programs

• Gathering relevant data as requested by the Quality Assurance Engineer and Senior Manufacturing team to ensure quality standards are met

• Other projects and assignments related to research and quality assurance may be assigned

• Work with production and engineering on special projects as directed

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Natural Sciences

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a QC/QA laboratory

• Experience in heavy manufacturing environment, strongly preferred, but not required

• Strong commitment to Health, Safety and the Environment

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 Program: Word, Excel and Outlook

• Must possess a willingness to learn and the ability to follow instructions and take direction

• Possess solid problem solving and action planning skills

• Possess effective oral and written communication skills

• Possess the ability to make independent and sound decisions

• Possess solid interpersonal skills
