Requirements
PRIMARY PURPOSE : As a member of the software development team, the Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for successful project delivery and ensuring quality and consistency in our software development and data movement processes.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Define, develop, maintain, and execute test plans and scripts
- Test software to ensure proper operation and free from defects
- Develop and maintain a test case inventory
- Record and track defects uncovered during the execution of tests
- Collaborate with software engineers as needed to resolve problems and identify the root cause of product defects
- Utilize tools and methodologies to improve individual / team effectiveness and to increase efficiency in the QA process
- Reduce manual QA effort by developing automated tests when necessary
- Triage incoming application support work items. Reports and manage resolutions between reporters and the engineering team
- Participate in peer code reviews and technical meetings by providing appropriate and constructive feedback
- Help Product Owner with Product Goal definition and Product Backlog management
- Help Project Manager with project planning and release dates
- Escalate issues and impediments to the supervisor and other stakeholders to ensure successful completion of projects
- Organizes and facilitates daily stand-up meetings, reviews, estimations, retrospectives, sprint, and release planning, demos, burndown tracking, and other Scrum-related meetings.
- Facilitate stakeholder collaboration as requested or needed and remove barriers between stakeholders and Scrum Teams
- Manage work items with Agile or waterfall SDLC methods as necessary
- Accurately record and classify development time in the Software Development Request system
- Split the time between the tasks as QA 70% and Scrum Master 30%
- Other responsibilities that arise based on department needs
