Position Overview

The Division of Rehabilitation Services (DRS) is the state’s lead division serving people with disabilities committed to diversity, equity, inclusion, accessibility and racial justice. The mission of the Division is to assist individuals with disabilities in achieving their goals of employment, education, and independent living. Within the Bureau of Support Services, evaluates statewide spending for Division programs and contracts, monitors payments, and researches processing and payment issues ensuring discrepancies are resolved. The Division is seeking to hire a self-motivated and detailed orientated individual with good communication skills.

Essential Functions

  • Organizes, plans, executes, controls, and evaluates the annual statewide spending plan for Division of Rehabilitation (DRS) programs and contracts.

  • Assists in the coordination of internal and external audit reviews for DRS programs including the compilation of audit responses, collection of audit samples, attendance at meetings, etc.

  • Coordinates and processes DRS requisitions with program funding allocations and verifies cost allocation of all contractual payment agreements not managed by DRS.

  • Assists in the recoupment of program income generated through the Ticket to Work, Social Security Reimbursement and the Randolph Sheppard Programs through the monitoring of statewide systems, development of administrative receipt and spending reports and applicable external and internal audit request.

  • Serves as liaison between the Program Income Unit and DRS field offices for the collection of required documentation for the Cost Reimbursement and Ticket to Work Programs.

  • Performs other duties as assigned or required which are reasonably within the scope of duties enumerated above.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years college, with courses in business administration and accounting.

  • Requires two (2) years of professional experience in accounting, external auditing, budgetary planning and control or public accounting.

Work Hours: Mon-Fri, 8:30am-5pm, 1 hour unpaid lunch.
