Do you have what it takes to have your finger on the pulse of what's fun about Springfield? The State Journal-Register has an immediate opening for a Digital Features Editor . This person is responsible for planning and executing vibrant daily online content centered on local entertainment, arts, pop culture, and lifestyle.
Responsibilities include :
- Assigning and producing engaging stories, lists, and multimedia content.
- Coordinating the packaging of this content for the print edition's features sections.
- Coordinating special sections.
Our features sections also include The Voice, which is written by and for high school students.
What you need to succeed in the job :
Previous experience as an editor is strongly encouraged but not mandatory. Video editing skills are also helpful, but we'll consider candidates who are ready to learn. A college degree and at least two years of experience are required.
