Campbell Publications is seeking an intelligent, observant, and aggressive entry-level reporter. If you enjoy small towns and the great outdoors, consider our territory around the Mississippi and Illinois rivers in west central Illinois.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the coverage of local news, feature stories, and other assignments in the readership area. The ideal candidate will enjoy working with people, in person and on the telephone. Must have reliable transportation. This position offers a pleasant office and friendly co-workers, with an opportunity to excel in a fast-paced and creative work environment.
Minimum qualifications include typing ability, good grammar skills, ability to meet deadlines, and camera, computer, and web skills. We produce five award-winning community newspapers in five counties with a combined circulation of over 20,000. This position is based in Pittsfield, Ill., within two hours of metro St. Louis. Assignments will relate primarily to two of the Campbell Publications newspapers.
