The Herald & Review in Central Illinois is searching for a savvy, organized, passionate night editor.
This person plays a critical role in our newsroom to drive growth on all platforms and attract audience. He or she will coordinate content flow, edit copy, and prepare material for distribution on our digital and print platforms.
A key component is working with our Regional Design Center colleagues to ensure high-quality publication of our flagship newspaper and various products.
Experience as a copy editor, designer, or section editor is ideal, and a background in SEO, social media, and analytics is highly desirable. Initiative, problem-solving skills, and a deeply collaborative spirit are musts.
The Herald & Review is in Decatur, Illinois, about halfway between Chicago and St. Louis, and we offer a beautiful lake, lovely downtown, and plenty of recreational opportunities.
