- Draft and publish print and electronic advertisements, career related materials, or other special advertisements as needed for recruitment events.
- Develop concepts and execute original content by determining the ideal usage of color, text, font style, imagery, and layout.
- Collaborate with HR management and the School and Community Relations department to ideate and define content goals.
- Collaborate, brainstorm, and strategize with multiple teams on a wide range of materials that may include web pages, social media, blogs, presentations, signage, job descriptions, how to documents, template creation, internal communications, newsletters, and marketing materials.
- Update department website and social media accounts to enhance engagement.
- Research content and consumer trends to ensure district content is relevant and appealing. Develop and present new ideas or trends via proposals to management team.
- Develop content strategies to effectively reach the desired target audience and marketing goals.
- Proofread and edit content before publishing.
- Assist with coordinating internal and external recruitment events to include job fairs, school tours, information sessions and registering U-46 representatives for district and regional recruitment events.
- Collaborate with recruiting specialist to maintain and update recruitment and marketing calendars.
- Attends and participates in U-46 recruitment events, college job fairs, and external recruiting sessions (occasional weekends and afterhours events).
- Serve as a U-46 brand ambassador representing the values and initiatives in all interactions with internal and external stakeholders.
- Stay current with trends and best practices in recruitment, marketing, and education to help stay competitive in the market
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in literature, journalism, marketing, communications, or similar field preferred or three to five years of marketing experience in Human Resources.

- Ability to work on a computer over a major portion of the work day.
- Ability to lift or move 25 pounds.
- This is a 12-month work year position.

Function / Position Summary
The human resources marketing specialist plays a vital role in guiding and developing the content creation process for our brand to help attract top talent to U-46. As a marketing specialist, you will be required to research and define desired target audiences, assist with the content creation and publishing process by taking concepts and ideas and creating visual representations, in both print and electronic media. To ensure success, the marketing specialist should show a keen eye for detail, be highly creative, be an expert storyteller, and possess excellent knowledge of consumer and content trends. Additionally, the marketing specialist maintains positive relationships with potential candidates, staff, partners and community stakeholders.
