Job Summary
This position uses data collected from a variety of cyber defense tools (e.g., IDS alerts, firewalls, network traffic logs) to analyze events that occur within their environments for the purposes of mitigating threats.
Pay Rate
16.00 / hour
Required Qualifications
- Ability to apply cybersecurity and privacy principles to organizational requirements.
- Knowledge of computer networking concepts and protocols, and network security methodologies.
- Knowledge of risk management processes (e.g., methods for assessing and mitigating risk).
- Knowledge of laws, regulations, policies, and ethics as they relate to cybersecurity and privacy.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity and privacy principles.
- Knowledge of cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
- Skill in assessing security controls based on cybersecurity principles and tenets (e.g., CIS CSC, NIST SP 800-53, Cybersecurity Framework, etc.).
- Skill in conducting trend analysis.
Work Hours
Monday - Friday, 8 : 00am - 5 : 00pm
Functional Expectations
Must be able to complete the following with or without reasonable accommodations :
1. Remain at a workstation for extended periods.
2. Distinguish colors on a monitor.
3. Move about in various locations across campus as needed to complete day-to-day work.
4. Effectively communicate on a daily basis.
