Duties & Responsibilities -
Athletics
- Collaborate with the Division of Intercollegiate Athletics (DIA) to review pending eligibility status for prospective and continuing student-athletes and assist with the certification process each semester.
- Perform initial collection of data, review for accuracy, and necessary updates to student-athlete data or report data used by OR and the Compliance Office in DIA for annual campus reports to the NCAA and/or federal Student Right to Know.
- Assist with data collection for the Division I Academic Progress Rate (APR).
- Perform data collection and updates to student athlete records necessary for annual NCAA Graduation Rate Survey (GSR). This includes coordination with DIA’s Financial Aid coordinator, Institutional Reporting, and also performing necessary updates to track student athletes with athletic aid.
- Attend the annual NCAA Compliance meeting, as needed, and Big Ten workshops.
- Develop a comprehensive knowledge of NCAA and Big Ten rules and regulations.
- Manage Rehab and Club sports academic eligibility processes.
Academic Recognition
- Assist with determining Dean’s List and other academic honors award eligibility, including collaborating with academic units to finalize lists of award recipients.
- Assist with Academic Records and Graduation Unit processing.
U. S. Military
- Manage administrative functions within various external military tuition assistance systems and coordinate system upgrades/requirements with Assoc. Registrar for Student Systems. Including, but not limited to, academic program availability (including course cost information for each), upload of Illinois course catalog, and grade entry to military systems.
- Assist central University of Illinois representative to Department of Defense systems as well as Bursar Sponsor Billing as it relates to military connected students use of tuition assistance.
