Duties & Responsibilities
Program Management
• Oversee the Campus-Community Compact initiative and related projects, serving as the primary liaison between the university, community partners, and stakeholders.
• Facilitate collaborative work groups to assess/identify needs and priorities related to systemic racism and social injustice in Champaign County.
• Work with internal and external stakeholders and partners to develop, implement, and manage projects, activities, and events aligned with Compact focus areas (accessible technology, community health, wellness, and resilience, community relations, economic development, inclusive education, and workforce development).
• Provide guidance and support to focus area Program Coordinators to ensure the success of projects and events and their alignment with overall Compact objectives.
• Proactively identify and address challenges, ensuring effective project progression.
Project Management
• Lead the planning, development, and implementation of projects related to the Compact, which includes creating project plans and timelines.
• Monitor initiative progress, respond to stakeholder inquiries, and communicate updates effectively.
• Collect, analyze, and report on project performance data to inform decision-making.
• Employ project management best practices to coordinate program implementation.
Outreach and Communication
• Co-develop and manage the communications strategy with the Assistant Director of Administrative Operations and Communication and external collaborators to promote Compact achievements, events, and engagement opportunities.
• Collaborate on creating content for various platforms, including websites, social media, presentations, reports, and publications.
• Research, write, edit, and coordinate the preparation of special reports, briefings, and presentations.
Evaluation and Assessment
• Develop and implement an assessment and evaluation plan for Compact projects and activities.
• Ensure ongoing assessment of the effectiveness and impact of the Compact’s activities.
• Collect, analyze, and report on project performance data to inform decision-making.
Grant Development and Management
• Collaborate with Compact partners and stakeholders to develop and submit grant proposals for sustainable funding.
• Provide administrative support for grant preparation, including budget development and justification.
Administrative
• Provide administrative oversight for the Compact, ensuring timely completion of activities and addressing challenges.
• Plan and execute meetings, special events, and other types of engagement activities, including participant recruitment, logistics, and post-event evaluation.
• Build and cultivate relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Monitor budget and expenditures.
