Position Overview

In this position you will be responsible for many tasks including but not limited to receiving, reviewing, and processing or assigning the processing of license applications containing deficiencies and the information or documents from applicants resolving the deficiencies, serving as working supervisor, overseeing the maintenance of the unit’s licensing files, processing or assigning processing of requests for Certification of Licensure and various specialized license applications, such as Corporations, Limited Liability Companies, Partnerships, Branches, etc., responding to written, telephone, internet and front desk inquiries regarding licensing issues, requests for application packets, renewals, restorations, requests for data, questions on fees, and all other functions of the unit, gathering and assembling data relevant to the unit’s workloads and performance, and other duties as required or assigned, which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.

Essential Functions

  • Receives, reviews, and processes or assigns the processing of license applications containing deficiencies and the information or documents from applicants resolving the deficiencies.
  • Serves as working supervisor.
  • Oversees the maintenance of the unit’s licensing files.
  • Processes or assigns processing of requests for Certification of Licensure and various specialized license applications, such as Corporations, Limited Liability Companies, Partnerships, Branches, etc.
  • Responds to written, telephone, internet and front desk inquiries regarding licensing issues, requests for application packets, renewals, restorations, requests for data, questions on fees, and all other functions of the unit.
  • Gathers and assembles data relevant to the unit’s workloads and performance.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned, which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of two years of study at a secretarial/business college and two years of office experience; or completion of high school and four years of Office Assistant experience; or four years independent business experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prefers at least two years of experience reviewing licensing applications and determining eligibility based on predetermined criteria/rules. 
  • Prefers at least two years of experience as a supervisor of a staff of three or more
  • Prefers at least two years of experience working in the field of Real Estate. 
  • Prefers at least two years of experience providing customer service by phone, email, and in person
