Duties & Responsibilities
- Directly supervises painters and painter apprentices assigned to the Paint, Glass, and Sign shops.
- Assigns painters, glass, and sign shop work to the assigned painters and painter apprentices submitted from the Work Management Center to be completed in accordance with prioritized needs and schedules.
- Works at the direction of the Painter Foreperson and the Superintendent Building Maintenance.
- When requested assists with providing estimates for labor and material cost of jobs assigned by Painter Foreperson, Work Management Center, Project Coordinators, and Superintendent of Building Maintenance, to monitor and control craft related cost.
- Assists in making recommendations for hiring and discipline and addresses employee performance issues.
- Assist with providing leadership for emergency responses during off normal working hours to handle emergency calls 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
- Assists in developing preventive maintenance estimates and schedules.
- Performs shop work as needed and directed.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned.
