The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign invites applications for the position of Teaching Associate—German at the University Laboratory High School. Uni High is a 5-year public school serving approximately 330 academically motivated students in grades 8–12. This is a 9-month, non-tenure track academic staff position for the 2025–2026 school year, beginning August 2025, contingent upon the successful completion of a fingerprint-based criminal background check. A laboratory mission of innovative curriculum development, outreach to other schools and the community, and/or involvement with professional organizations is part of the overall job responsibilities. The salary range for this position is $43,000- $58,000.
The Teaching Associate position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement between the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois and the Uni Faculty Organization/IEA-NEA union. Responsibilities
- Teach all levels of German (German I through German IV) to academically advanced students in grades 8–12.

- Participate in school activities typically required of teachers, including attending faculty and department meetings, serving on committees, and supporting school functions and student activities.
