Description
JOB SUMMARY :
Performs Human Resources related duties in the following areas : recruitment, new hire processing, on-boarding, employee relations, compensation & benefits, policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :
- Maintains and actively promotes effective communication with all individuals.
- Maintains a positive image of the entity in the community keeping in alignment with our mission, vision, and values.
- Responsible for on-call services, as assigned.
- Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems. Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services provided.
- Create and track designated Human Resource metrics including applicant flow and turnover.
- Collaborates with the Illuminus Institute to enroll staff in education programs, including follow-up with staff for non-compliance with educational requirements.
- Coordinates recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt staff for assigned business units. Coordinates all internal and external employment postings. Coordinates the talent selection, orientation and on-boarding process.
- Reviews Handbook for updating annually. Recommends updates as appropriate.
- Maintains Personnel Files, investigations and performance management of staff.
- Assists employees and managers regarding all leaves of absence (LOA), FMLA, and ADA. Processes paperwork as required.
- Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
- Maintains affirmative action program; supports Vice President of Human Resources with EEO-1 report annually, maintains other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
- Performs benefits administration to include change reporting and communicating benefit information to employees.
- Responds / Investigates all employee relation issues including performance concerns, employee complaints, harassment allegations, and discrimination complaints.
- Coordinates all OSHA safety reporting and is the liaison for all Workers Compensation interactions.
- Participates in department staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.
- Performs other duties, as assigned
