This role involves managing employee relations, accounting and payroll, benefits administration, and more. Location : Eden Prairie, MN (on-site)

Hours : Anticipating 20 hours week

KEY RESPONSIBILTIES :

For accounting you'll be responsible for :

  • Month-end journal entries and account reconciliation schedules
  • Bank entries and account reconciliation.
  • Responsible for compiling the top 25 clients.
  • Compiles data to determine profitability job costing.

For payroll you'll be responsible for :

  • Reviewing and editing the time keeping system entries.
  • Payroll system entry, review, and submission.
  • Downloading and archiving payroll reports.
  • Payroll journal entry into accounting software (Sage).
  • Setting up new hires in the payroll system and training employees on payroll / T&A systems online access.
  • Maintaining employee information in the payroll system.
  • For benefits you'll be responsible for :

  • Entering new hires into the benefit system and training employees on online access.
  • Bill reconciliation for benefit providers.
  • Maintaining employee benefit information.
  • Setting up new hires in the 401(k) system and training employees on how to access their 401(k) information online.
  • Bi-weekly 401(k) contribution uploads from payroll system to the 401(k) system.
  • 401(k) employer contribution entries and uploads to the 401(k) system.
  • For the ERP System (Sage), you'll be responsible for :

  • ERP user management, while maintaining employees in the ERP system (Sage).
  • Implementing software updates.
  • Maintaining accounting periods in Sage which happens after hours once / month.
  • Troubleshooting issues and questions in Sage.
  • Audits entries for correct coding and process effectiveness in Sage.
  • All SSO updates and troubleshooting.
  • REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES :

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
  • Mathematical aptitude and analytical skills.
  • Highly proficient knowledge of Sage, SSO (Sage Service Operations), PayChex, Ease, and 401(k) system.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Understanding of sound accounting principles / GAAP.
  • Self-driven and ability to work independently.
  • EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :

  • High school diploma required, Associates or Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred.
  • 2 years' payroll processing experience, preferably in PayChex Flex.
